Description

We are seeking an experienced, board certified PA with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Cardiac Surgery OR and ICU, to join our well organized and hard working team of 4-6 PAs.   Our growing program in beautiful central Michigan performs 300 open heart surgeries per year.  The PA must be proficient in EPIC EMR and have strong experience in the cardiac operating room to include first assisting and Endoscopic Vein Harvesting; pre and postop ICU management; and outpatient Clinic.  Rotations will include all aspects of patient care. 

The ideal candidate will work 2 weeks per month (or more, if desired) including weekends.  The position provides excellent pay and overtime opportunities.  Cardiac Surgeries include: CABG, AVR, MVR, MAZE, and Aortic surgery with a talented and experienced Cardiac Surgeon and PA team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Cardiac Surgery OR and ICU
• Strong experience in the Cardiac OR to include first assisting and Endoscopic Vein harvesting; Pre and Postoperative ICU Managment;  and outpatient Clinic
• 2-3 weeks per month
• Board Certified
• Proficient in EPIC EMR
